Isaac "Ike" Feagley Obituary

Isaac “Ike” Carl Eugene Feagley, age 89, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Deaconess Midtown.

Ike was born September 16, 1934, in Chandler, IN, to the late William Kenneth and Selma J. (Ulbricht) Feagley. He graduated from Millersburg High School in 1952. Ike proudly served in the United States Army and participated in an Honor Flight. He was a lifetime member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ. Ike was a member of the Painter’s Local 156 for 70 + years and worked for Tri State Painting for 29 years. He was a business agent for the Painter’s and Allied Trades. Ike was a member of the Newburgh Masonic Lodge 174, member of the Scottish Rite, and member of the Hadi Shrine Drum and Bugel Corp. He was the former President of the Hadi Shrine D & B Corp, former Captain of the Hadi Shrine hospital staff, where he drove 200 + trips to the Shriners Children’s hospitals. Ike proudly carried the banner at several Hadi Shrine Circus’. He was also an MSA recipient through the Scottish Rite. Ike was an honorary member of the Horse Patrol, Potentate's Aide, former member of the Kentucky Colonels, and Washington Square Knots square dance club. He was the Chairman of the National Square Dance Festival.

Ike enjoyed square dancing, gardening, camping, and “snow birding” in Destin, FL. His greatest passions were spending time with his wife, children, grand children and great grandchildren and his faith.

Ike is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Deloris (Peck) Feagley; son, Robert “Bob” Feagley (Deborah); daughters, Pamela Hirsch (Denis) and Connie Spezia (Joseph); 14 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

Ike is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Leota Wilson, Mary Taylor and Wanda Johnston; and brothers, Wilber Feagley and Bill Feagley.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 29, 2024, at Bethlehem United Church of Christ, 6400 Oak Hill Rd, Evansville, IN with Pastor Emily Slade officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery where the American Legion Kapperman Post #44 will perform military rites.

Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, a Newburgh Masonic Lodge 174 service beginning at 5:00 p.m., followed by a walk through by the Scottish Rite and Hadi Shrine. Visitation will continue from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Bethlehem United Church of Christ.
