April 15, 1934 ~ August 27, 2001 (age 67)

Andrew S. Wade, 67, of Evansville, died Monday, Aug. 27,2001, at St. Mary’s Medical Center of complications of cancer. 

He retire last year after 25 years with the Vanderburgh County Highway Department and had worked at Whirlpool Corp. He was an Army veteran and had attended the University of Evansville. He was a member of the Unit­ed Church of Christ and served on the council at Zion United Church of Christ. He was a member of Hadi Shrine, Scottish Rite Valley of Fort Wayne, Ind., and the Ma­sonic Lodge in Marion, Ind.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Gloria (Kettelhut); a daughter, Deborah Wade of Evansville; and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Zion United Church of Christ, the Rev. Donald Bern­hardt officiating, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m., at Boone Fu­neral Home East Chapel and from 9 am. to service time at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Vanderburgh County Humane Society or to the Shriners Hospital for Chil­dren,
