Anna Louise (Rhoads) Murphy, age 81, of Scottsburg, IN, formerly of Newburgh, IN, passed away at 7 a.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018, at South Baldwin Medical Center in Foley, Alabama.
Ann was born August 27, 1936, in Terre Haute, IN, to Kenneth D. Rhoads and Pearl Marie Homan. She worked as a server for many different restaurants in the area. She loved doing crafts and created beautiful gifts from family and friends.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 17 years, Henry “Hank” Murphy, daughter, Diana (Richard) Manns, of Scottsburg, IN, son, Claude Ray (Carol) Sturman Jr., of Greenville, SC, grandchildren, Michelle Moon, Nathan Sturman, Matthew Sturman, Andrew Sturman, and Laura Prescott; three great grandchildren, Brooklyn & Brody Moon and Bryson Sturman.
Ann is preceded in death parents, her first husband, Claud Sturman, and her daughter, Anna Marie Prescott.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Reverend Steve Clayton officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Evansville, IN.
Friends may visit from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
