Barbara (Burnett) Walker

Barbara Burnett Walker, 88, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was born in South Hill, Va. and had been a resident of Abingdon since 1991. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, William and Ethel Burnett; sisters Annie Ruth Burnett Hall and Camilla Burnett Warren; and her husband, Dr. William Freeman Walker.

She leaves behind her son Dr. Robert Walker and spouse Martha Walker; daughter Camilla Forbes and spouse Jerry… Forbes; grandchildren Dr. William Walker and spouse Dr. Karen Walker, Meredith Denton and spouse Daniel Denton, Allison Cross and spouse Randy Cross, Quentin Forbes and spouse Sarah Forbes, and Justin Forbes and spouse Heather Forbes; great-grandchildren Layla Denton, Walker Denton, Noah Forbes, Harrison Walker, Braxton Forbes, Naomi Forbes, and Baby Forbes due June 2018.

Funeral Services will be held at 12 pm, Thursday, December 7, 2017, at  Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville , with Pastor Andy Payton officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 10 am until time of service, Thursday, December 7, 2017, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
