On March 5, 2019, Betty L. (Winger) Putnam graduated to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and the love of her life, Jesse C. Putnam.
Betty was born March 21, 1931, in Evansville, IN to William and Josie Mae (Peck) Winger. She attended Central High School and was a member of Free Pentecostal Church of Evansville for over 30 years. Betty retired from Sears in 2003 after 25 years. She loved going to church, serving the Lord, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She leaves behind three daughters, Brenda Perry (Bill), Sandra Marklin (Steve), and Leah Kay Schwindel (Bill); one son, Jerry Putnam (Sheila); 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. Betty adored every one of them.
She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 67 years, Jesse C. Putnam; and brother, Arthur Winger.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Walnut Creek Assisted Living for their loving care and concern in her last days.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Johanna Damme officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2019 and from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Saturday, March 9, 2019 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
