Bettye L. (Herrel) Neucks

Bettye L. (Herrel) Neucks, 79, of Evansville, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at St. Mary’s Medical Center of a cerebral hemorrhage.

She retired in 1986 from the Evansville Public Library.

She was a member of the Daughters of the Nile, Honored Ladies of the Hadi Temple and lifetime member of Bethel Unit­ed Church of Christ and the Eu­nice Circle and Women’s Guild at the church.

Surviving are two daughters, Marjorie Parmley of Evansville and Barbara Heimlich of Reynolds, Ind.; four grandchil­dren, Bryan and Michael Heim­lich, Jennifer Nau and Christo­pher Parmley; and four great­grandchildren.

Her husband, Edward C., died in 1976.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bethel United Church of Christ, the Revs. Joseph Fraccaro and Don Bern­hardt officiating, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, with Daugh­ters of the Nile service at 6:30 p.m., and from noon to service time at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Gazette International Networking Insti­tute in St. Louis.
