Cecilia Brown Obituary

Cecilia W. (Watson) Brown, 83, of Evansville, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, at Deaconess Hospital.

She retired in 1982 as an upholsterer from Flex Steel in Evansville and during World War II worked for Chrysler Corp.

She was a member of Shady Grove (Ky.) Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Dalphon; a daughter, Genean Buchanan of Evansville; two sons, Terry of Vincennes, Ind., and Randall D. of Evansville; a brother, W.T. Watson of Poole, Ky.; seven grandchildren, Debra West, Gregory Buchanan and Marcie, Paul, Matthew, David and Sarah Brown; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Edward Gardner officiating, with burial in Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association.
