Chloe Grace Thomas, age 78, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019, at Linda E. White Hospice House.
Chloe was born May 27, 1941, in Burns, TN, to Nathaniel “Pete” and Agnes (Ballard) Cavender. She graduated from Central High School in 1959. Chloe had dual membership at New Horizon Fellowship and Cathedral of Praise. Chloe was on the Board of Directors for Indiana Teen Challenge Grace House. She was the Spiritual Resource Director of Hope Dot Com and Women’s Ministry Leader at New Horizon Fellowship. Chloe was also involved in Special Needs Ministry with the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center for several years.
Chloe is survived by her daughters, Sherri Klees (Christopher), Cathy Myers (Pastor Bret Myers) and Kimberly Mann (Carl Mann III); grandchildren, Drew Myers (Erin), Isaac Mann (Naomi), Hadrian Klees and Mason Myers; great granddaughter, Hadley Grace Myers; sisters, Mary Greth (Richard), Margie Pfingston (Jerry), Frances Smith (Mike), Anna Pfingston; brothers, Jimmy Cavender, Roger Cavender, David Cavender (Bridgett), Paul Cavender (Sally); sisters in law, Mary Casteel (Roger) and Joan Becker (Ed); brother in law, Bobby Thomas; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Nathaniel “Pete” and Agnes Cavender; beloved husband of 48 years, George Edward Thomas who passed away in 2009; and brother in law, Billy Thomas.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 30, 2019 at Cathedral of Praise, 3006 Mesker Park Drive with Pastors Bret Myers and Carl Mann II officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 30, 2019 at Cathedral of Praise.
