Constance Ruth (Skaggs) Martin, 87, of Evansville, Ind., died at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.
Mrs. Martin retired from General Electric in Owensboro, Kentucky, where she worked for 30 years. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was born on January 31, 1915, in Greenville, Ky. Her Parents were Logan and Lena (Lyle) Skaggs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Martin, in 1969.
She is survived by her stepdaughter, Dorothy Gullet of Owensboro, Ky.; four sisters, Leota Phelps of Madisonville, Ky., Bonnie Satterfield of Evansville, Ind., Eunice Harkins of Greenville, Ky., and Velma Francis Haile of California; one brother, Leroy Skaggs of Madisonville, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., today, June 27, 2002, in Oak Hill Cemetery, with Reverend Alton Davis officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. There will be no public visitation. Boone Funeral Home East Chapel is handling arrangements.
