David L. “Dave” Kishline, age 86, of Newburgh, IN, passed away on Monday morning, September 16, 2019, at Newburgh Health Care surrounded by his loving family.
David was born January 23, 1933 in Evansville, IN, to Arch and Selma (Haas) Kishline. He graduated from Bosse High School in 1951 and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Evansville College in 1958. David served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He and his wife, Fay were owners and operators of Crawford Door Sales for over 30 years. David was a member of the Newburgh Masonic Lodge #174, Scottish Rite and the Hadi Shrine for many years. He was one of the founding fathers of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity at Evansville College. David was a longtime member and elder of Newburgh Presbyterian Church and the past President of the Evansville Rescue Mission. He loved boating and road trips in his convertible.
David is survived by Fay, his loving wife of 59 years; daughter, Merry Kishline; son, Michael Kishline; Pamela Jutzi; Monte Skelton; and three precious grand-dogs.
David is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Katherine Grainger and Chestine Kibler; brothers, Burl Kishline, Huber Kishline, Chester Kishline and Donald Kishline.
Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, September 20, 2019 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, with visitation from 3:00 p.m. until service time.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the outstanding staff at Newburgh Healthcare, and Heritage Hospice for their loving care and support. They would also like to thank his SAE brothers for their faithful friendship.
