David Isaac Nicholson, 77, of Evansville, IN, passed away Saturday, August 25th 2018 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN.
David was born June 25, 1941 in Evansville, IN, to the late Richard and Ruth (Waters) Nicholson. He grew up on Evansville's West Side attending Perry Heights Elementary School and Reitz High School before his family moved to Henderson, Kentucky where he graduated with the class of '59 at Henderson City High.

To his family, he was known as the frequent giver of nicknames and personal theme songs and for his infectious and unique laugh. Anyone could enjoy a conversation with him because he was well read and enthusiastic about an array of topics including sports, history, religion, and politics. Because of his genuine love for people, he became a successful and trusted car salesman in the Evansville Regional Area for over forty years. His faith was an integral part of his life that included active church leadership and involvement, deep knowledge of the Bible, and a passion for worship and teaching.
He is survived by his beloved wife Letta (Meredith) Nicholson of 34 years; daughter, Julie A. Wilson (Jerry) of Ashley, IL; sons, Brian D. Nicholson of Evansville, IN, Bret M.
