Dolores J. Guyer, age 88, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018 at Brookdale Senior Living.
Dolores was born January 3, 1930, in Gary, IN, to Roy and Evea (Tyhurst) Tracy. She grew up on a farm near Annapolis, IL, and graduated from Hutsonville High School. From 1948, Dolores worked for Servel, Hoosier Cardinal, Mead Johnson, Thomas Morton Companies, John Rickman & Company and retired from Bristol Myers in 1994. She was a member of First Baptist Church which she considered her second family. She taught children’s Sunday School classes for over 25 years and was a member of Come Double Class. Dolores loved playing Bunco and was a charter member of the Oak Hill Bunco Club since 1963.
She is survived by daughters, Pam (Joe) Castrale, of Evansville, Patricia “Patty” (David) Rosado, of Austin, TX, grandchildren, Laura (Dominick) Grochowina, of San Francisco, CA, and Paul Castrale (Melissa Galizio), of Omaha, NE; and many nieces and nephews.
Dolores is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Norman L. Guyer, parents and brother, James A. Tracy.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 7, 2018, at First Baptist Church 320 Cherry Street, Evansville, 47713, with Pastor Steve Claspell officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL ~ A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville.
