Douglas Thomas

Douglas Thomas, age 64, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 12:05 p.m. on Monday, August 26, 2019, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.

Douglas was born March 11, 1955, in Aurora, IL, to Luther Houston Thomas and Iris Irene (Straiter) Thomas. He loved people and never met a stranger. Douglas loved walking his dogs, Sammy, Jewel, and Gracie.

Douglas is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Pat (Ford) Thomas; daughter, Lydia Viars; son, Lucas Thomas; step-son, Jeremy Caine (Brittney); sisters, Becky Underhile (Dallas) and Christine Thomas; brothers, Jim Cash, Bruce Thomas (Kathleen), and Brad Thomas (Jeannie); grandchildren, Trinity Caine, Damian Caine, Izayiah Viars, and Zyhanna Viars; and many nieces and nephews.

Douglas is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Anita Thomas.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, August 30, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor David Whitmore officiating. Burial will be Private.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Friday, August 30, 2019 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
