Annette passed away peacefully on April 6, 2018 in Evansville, Indiana at the age of 71 with her husband, Terry, and his family at her side.
Annette was born on January 28, 1947 in Santa Paula, California to the late James Edward and Bertha Jane (Wilder) Johns. She graduated from high school in Santa Paula and from Ventura Junior College. Annette moved to Vacaville, California and worked for the Solano County District Attorney’s Office as a secretary. Annette next accepted employment at Basic American Foods in Vacaville where she became a computer programmer. She met and married her soul mate, Terry Hay, while there. Both Annette and Terry retired early and had 20 plus years of fishing, RVing, and gardening together. Annette had many interests and had the talent to master almost anything she tried, including out-fishing her husband. Together they lived in California, The Florida Keys, and Oregon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Father Ted Tempel officiating. Entombment will be private at St. John's Catholic Mausoleum in Newburgh, IN.
Friends may visit from noon until 1:00 pm, Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel.
