Elza Meador Obituary

Elza A. Meador, 89, of Evansville, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at St. Mary’s Health Care Services/Welborn Campus.

He was a 55-year member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 136.

He was a 52-year member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Fellowship Sunday school class.

He enjoyed playing pool.

Surviving are the Rev. Emmett and Mary Owensby, who cared for him. His wife of 61 years, Emma (Johnson), died in 1998.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, the Revs. Ferd Elfriech and Robert Schneider officiating, with entombment in Park Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
