James Michael Cox, 39, of Evansville, Indiana, died at 11 p.m. Thursday, July 4, 2002.
Mr. Cox was an aluminum siding applicator. He was a 1981 graduate of Bosse High School and a member of Vann Avenue Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Delores and Ron Nickens of Henderson, Texas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and George Malone of Hatfield, Ind., arid Debbie and Byron Wilkerson of Evansville, Ind.; a brother, Thomas Goben of Henderson, Ky; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Jan Goben of Corydon, Ky., and Don and Tammy Cox of Burton, Ohio; four nieces and six nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Horace Cox, in 2001, and a brother, Larry Cox, in 2000.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 9,2002, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, 5330 Washington Avenue, with Reverend Robert A. Nall officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2002, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
Friends, if they wish, may make memorial contributions to Vann Avenue Baptist Church.
