James "Greg" Gregory Gay

James “Greg” Gregory Gay, age 58, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 3:36 a.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at home.

Greg was born December 4, 1959, in Evansville, IN, to the late Falton Gay, Jr. and Dianne (Scamahorn) Gay. He graduated from Bosse High School in 1978, was a Veteran of the United States Navy, and attended the University of Southern Indiana. Greg owned Greg Gay Pest Control, enjoyed playing golf, and loved spending time with his family. He was a great husband, father, and Pawpaw.

He is survived by his mother, Dianne (Scamahorn) Gay; his beloved wife of 34 years, Susan (Layman) Gay; daughter, Catie Stephens (Justin) of Clinton, MS; son, Jacob Gay of Austin, TX; brother, Michael Gay of St. Petersburgh, FL; grandchild, Andrew James Stephens; and a loving extended family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Mark Silen of Crossroads Christian Church officiating. Burial will be Private. 

Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until service time, Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
