Jean Elizabeth (Mitchell) Belt

Jean Elizabeth (Mitchell) Belt, 91, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 6:30 pm, Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Henderson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. 

Jean was born in Sebree, KY, May 3, 1926, the daughter of the late Urie H. and Elsie (Heath) Mitchell.  She married the love of her life, Willard R. Belt in 1947 and together they owned and operated Belt’s Custom Cabinets in Henderson County, KY for over 30 years.  Jean was a member of Riverside Church of God.

She is survived by her brother, C.R. Mitchell; nieces, Frieda (Les) Hale and Fran Mathis; and several nieces and nephews.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 62 years, Willard R. Belt; brother, J. B. Mitchell, and sister, Martha Cobb (Reverend D.W.).

Funeral Services will be held at 12 pm, Friday, October 6, 2017 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Pastor Mark Carter officiating. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery, Sebree, KY.
