Joan (Collins) York

Joan (Collins) York, age 82, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 9:38 a.m. on Saturday, August 03, 2019, at Linda E. White Hospice House.

Joan was born July 13, 1937, in Evansville, IN, to Otis and M. Elizabeth (Williams) Collins. Joan was a 1955 graduate of Bosse High School. Joan was a member at Evansville United Christian Fellowship Church where she served as the church secretary for over 60 years. She was an Administrative Assistant for Drs. Wesner & Bromm and Drs. Edward Murphy & Elizabeth Sowa.

Joan is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Ross York; son, Michael York (Andrea) of Eddyville, KY; granddaughters, Courtney and Megan; 1great grandson, Jax; and brother, Ron Collins (Billie) of Evansville, IN.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Evansville United Christian Fellowship Church, 1708 Fuquay Road, Evansville, IN with Pastors Roger Willis and Troy Jent officiating. Burial will be in Sassafras Grove Cemetery in Sebree, KY.  

Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Monday, August 5, 2019 at Evansville United Christian Fellowship Church and 9:00 a.m. until time of service, Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Evansville United Christian Fellowship Church.
