Juanita J (Pressley) Cavanaugh

Juanita J. (Pressley) Cavanaugh, age 87, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 4:08 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at Heritage Center.

Juanita was born June 4, 1930, in Henderson, KY, to the late Vollie and Viola Mae (Townsend) Pressley. She graduated from Barrett High School in 1950.  She retired from the University of Evansville where she worked as a Harper Dining Hall attendant. Juanita was a member of Northwoods Church and enjoyed reading her Bible.

She is survived by her daughters, Terry Wilcox (John) of Evansville, IN and Kathy Christen (Bill) of Evansville, IN; sons, David Cavanaugh (Becky) of Circleville, OH and Steve Cavanaugh (Chris) of Reynoldsville, OH; sister, Martha Sue Pressley of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren, Scott Cavanaugh, Josh Cavanaugh, Beth Kuhlwein, Natalie Krouse, Jeff Cavanaugh, Emily O’Neal, Abby Cavanaugh, Stephanie Cavanaugh, Rachel Whitmore, Shawna Robertson, Lisa Bolin, Ben Hottel, and Jennifer Storms; and 30 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 38 years, Thurman “Austin” Cavanaugh; and brother, James V. Pressley.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Dave Cavanaugh and Pastor Steve Cavanaugh officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Henderson, KY. 

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Friday, February 23, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
