Judith (Kotsch) Laswell

Judith “Judi” Laswell, age 76, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, peacefully at home.

Judi was born September 23, 1941, in Evansville, IN to Henry William Kotsch Jr. and Anna Juanita (Long) Kotsch. Judi graduated from Bosse High School and attended Indiana University. She acted as COO/CFO for the successful business she shared with her husband. Typically, with a smile on her face, Judi was always there to help others and quick to crack a joke. She loved her husband, her family, and she lived an eventful life with lots of love and travel.

She is survived by daughter, Teri Taggart of Evansville, IN; son, Gregory Laswell (Annette) of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Ryan Louis Wood of Indianapolis, IN, Derek William Wood of Phoenix, AZ, William Aaron Laswell of Milton, FL, and Morgan Laswell of Evansville, IN.

Judi is preceded in death her parents and beloved husband of 39 years, William Laswell.

Judi is probably playing cards, laughing it up with Bill and other close friends in "God’s Garden."

God looked around his garden

And He found an empty place.

And then He looked down upon the earth,

And saw your tired face.

He put His arms around you,

And lifted you to rest,

God’s garden must be beautiful,

He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering,

He knew you were in pain,

He knew that you would never

Get well on earth again.

He saw the road was getting rough,

And the hills were hard to climb,

So He closed your weary eyelids,

And whispered “Peace be thine.”

It broke our hearts to lose you.

But you didn’t go alone,

For part of us went with you,

The day God called you home.
