Larry W. King, Sr., 62, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 1:47 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Linda E. White Hospice House.
Larry was born July 28, 1955, in Evansville, IN, to the late Norman King, Sr. and the late Margaret (Slaughter) King. He graduated from Harrison High School in 1973. Larry worked as a cook for Old Country Buffet and later at Cavanaugh’s. He loved driving his Cadillac, playing and watching basketball, watching old western movies, and he really enjoyed collecting shoes. Larry especially loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his daughters, Shameka King and Adoia King (David Nelson); sons, Larry King, Jr., Aaron King, and Lavar King; grandchild, Asadia Nelson; sisters, Joyce Hudspeth (Greg), Valerie Snider, Virginia King, Beatrice Alexander, Beverly Rucker (Mark), Linda Dureson, Angela Frances (Senior), Evon Donaldson (Ted), Arletta King, and Anita King; and brothers, Richard Clay, Sylvester King, Michael King (Susan), and Victor King.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Norman King, Jr., Harold King, and Kenneth King.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville. Burial will be Private.
Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Thursday, July 12, 2018 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
