Laura Genevieve (Stine) Sutton, age 90, of Evansville, passed away on August 28, 2018, at University Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Laura was born May 28, 1928, in Delevan, WI, the daughter of the late Wilbert and Velma (Cline) Stine. She graduated from high school in Wisconsin and was a homemaker and volunteered a Pink Lady in the x-ray department for 32 years at St. Mary Warrick Hospital. Laura married Allan Bilton Sutton on April 21, 1946, in Rockford, IL.
Laura was an avid knitter, enjoyed Bunco, Bingo, and exercise classes. Her baking skills were supreme and she often took treats with her, to her friends at Warrick Hospital. She was a member of Main Street General Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Virginia Aldridge (Charles) of Evansville, David, Allan, and Susan Sutton of Tennessee; grandchildren, Shawn Maglinger (Tom), Monica Quirk (Chris), Candi Virgin (Scott), Laura Camp, Allan Sutton (Jonnah), Melissa Finazzo (Mike), Jon Sutton (Beth), Amanda Sutton, Jennifer Williams (Jake) Shannon Cobb (Jon); sisters, Jean Evermon, Kay D. Jacob (Bill), Carla Zocchi (Joe), and Sharon Gipson (Ron); 17 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 37 years, Allan Sutton; daughter, Sandra Sutton, who passed away in 1956; and siblings, Iris Sigman, Eva Bartlett, Lillian Frediani, Betty Calvert, Charles Stine, Keith Stine, Patricia Fellows, Neil Stine, and James Stine.
No Funeral Services. Burial will be Private.
