Lois (Thomas) Hoffman

Lois (Thomas) Hoffman, age 98, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 4:27 a.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2019, at home surrounded by her family.

Lois was born August 18, 1920, in Southern Illinois, to Heber K. and Clorine (LaNeve) Thomas. She graduated from Central High School in 1938 and was a member of First Baptist Church. Lois loved her church, and she especially loved running the Joy Group. She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Everett, in April of 1949. She loved dancing and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Lois’ greatest joy was her family and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Lois is survived by her son, David Hoffman; grandchildren, Shara Hoffman (Kyle Starks) and Anne Hoffman; and great grandchildren, Morgan Hurley, Adeleine Starks, Andrew Lechner, and Jaima Starks.

Lois is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Everett G. Hoffman, who passed away in 2007; and her parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Steve Claspell officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.  

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
