Marilyn Brown, age 82, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 10:55 p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2018, at home.
Marilyn was born July 24, 1935, in Evansville, IN, to the late Wilford and Stella (Genter) Schmitt.
She graduated from Bosse High School in 1953. Marilyn volunteered at the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center, was a Pink Lady at St. Mary’s Hospital, and volunteered for Meals on Wheels. She was a member of the TOTAC Auto Club, the Tri-State Model A’s, and AACA. Marilyn was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were the “love of her life.”
She is survived by her daughters, Dana Greenwell (Joe) of Evansville and Karen Meyers (Bill) of Evansville; sons, Ray Brown (Barb) of Evansville and J Brown (Tammy) of Elberfeld; sisters, Dorothy Scott and Carol Greulich (Marvin); grandchildren, April Greenwell, Jill Heltsley (Ryan), Sam Greenwell (Samantha), Aaron Meyers (Angela), Heidi Furling (Alyssa), Susan Meyers, Kyle Brown, and Brooke Brown (Justin); great-grandchildren, Lexus Heltsley, Rory Heltsley, Donna Phelps, Kamden Greenwell, Meyer Furling, Anzaleem Brown, Zaylynn Brown, and Lillyonna Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 53 years, Larry C. Brown, who passed away in 2006; and sisters, Patricia Payne, Betty Stute, and Virginia Conner.

Funeral Services will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Father Ted Tempel officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Evansville.
Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 2, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
