Mark Rakestraw Obituary

Mark Wayne Rakestraw, age 61, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away at 8:20 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Linda E. White Hospice House.

Mark was born July 16, 1956, in Evansville, Indiana, to the late Joe William Rakestraw and the late Milda Lee (Egbert) Scherer. Mark was a 1974 graduate of Reitz High School. Mark was a skilled carpenter with the Carpenter’s Union.

He is survived by daughters, Kimberly Davenport and Jennifer Rakestraw of Alabama; brothers, Tim Rakestraw (Constance) of Evansville and Todd Rakestraw (Ginger) of Boonville; 2 granddaughters; and special companion of over 20 years, Patricia “Pat” Warner of Evansville.

He is preceded in death by his parents and stepmother Linda Sue Rakestraw.

Graveside services will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery.
