Michael Mann Obituary

Michael Lee Mann, age 75, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital – Evansville.

Michael was born April 27, 1943, in Wadesville, IN, to John Henry and Janice Louise (Cartwright) Mann. He graduated from North Posey High School and worked in the shipyards in Maine for over 25 years. Michael loved watching sports and war movies, and he especially loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Stacie Mann Pease of Nashville, TN, Joe Mann (Trang) of Nashville, TN, Melissa Mann of Chico, CA; stepson and best friend, Mike Jimenez of Evansville, IN; stepdaughter, Barbara Stewart (Aaron) of Evansville, IN; stepson, Randy Shoptaugh (Penny) of Evansville, IN; sisters, Sue Mann of Evansville, IN and Joan Siers of Mount Vernon, IN; brothers, Billy Mann (Sharon) of Mount Vernon, IN, Don Mann (Maxine) of Elberfeld, IN, and John Mann (Pam) of New Harmony, IN; grandchildren, Kelly Pease, Caleb Pease, Michael Kavalich, Dereck Kavalich, Lindsey Kavalich, Kim Gisler, Brian Reynolds, and Shawn Shoptaugh; and great granddaughter, Isabella Kavalich.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 30 years, Sharon Mann; and stepson, Timothy Shoptaugh.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Denny Stevenson officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Saturday, April 20, 2019 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
