Myrna P. (Selby) Smith

Myrna P. (Selby) Smith, 81, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away at 4:29 am, Wednesday, February 21 2018, at North Park Nursing Facility in Evansville.

Born August 21, 1936 in Winslow, IN, she was the daughter of the late Elliot and Mildred (Wells) Selby.  Myrna made her career working as a hairstylist at Carol’s Hairport Salon with her sister.  In January of 1958, Myrna married the love of her life, Byron Dean Smith.  They had 15 years together before he passed in 1973. 

Myrna is survived by her children, Linda Smith and James Smith, both of Evansville, IN; sister, Carol Knollman of Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren, Matthew and Lukas Smith; great grandchildren, Danielle, Hunter and Brady Smith; and Lori Harp, daughter at heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 pm, Friday, February 23, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Randy Owens officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.  

Friends may visit from 11:30 am until time of service at 1:30 pm, Friday, February 23, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel.
