Richard Meredith

Reverend Richard Meredith age 82, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 6:02 a.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Richard was born May 10, 1937, in Evansville IN, to Robert Meredith and Aruellia (Peach) Moore. He attended Bosse High School and was a Veteran in the United States Air Force. He worked as a pipefitter with the Local 136 for 50 years and Pastored for 40 years for Living Faith Tabernacle in Henderson, KY.

Richard is survived by his daughters, Dani Richardson (Alan), Staci Metzger (John), and Heather Corwin (Tracy); sister, Jean Fulkerson; brothers, Robert “Bobby” Meredith, Michael Moore, and Wayne Moore; grandchildren, Chris (Janelle), Brandi (Jonathan), Danielle (Robert), Tiffani, BeaJai, Isaac, and Aleah; and 7 great grandchildren.

Richard is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Barbara (DeTalente) Meredith, who passed away February 23, 2019; parents, siblings, Dorothy Meredith, Ronnie Meredith, Helen Meredith, Betty Hodges, Ronnie Hodges, Tuffie Hodges and Larry Moore; and adoptive parents, Curtis and Lorrine Hodges.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Bryan Anderson officiating. Burial will be in James Parker Cemetery in Hatfield, IN.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Saturday, July 27, 2019, at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
