Robert H. Brown, Sr.

Robert H. Brown, Sr., age 80, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2019, at home.

Robert was born May 18, 1939, in Providence, KY, to Cornelius and Maggie (Wilkins) Brown. He was a Veteran in the United States Navy. Robert was employed at Sears for 44 years. He was an active member of Fairlawn United Methodist Church and also sang with the group, Men of COLOR. He enjoyed bowling, square dancing, being a handyman, fixing lawnmowers for many people, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Sue (Pate) Brown; daughter, Lisa Bustamonte (Chris); son, Robby Brown (Jill); grandchildren, Miranda (Eric), Matthew, Whitney, and Jayvion; and great grandson, Zachary; sisters, Sharron, Ruth, and Delores (Dick); brothers, Tommy (Betty) and Darrel (Carol); and loads of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Lola, Lucille, Ethel, and Edward; and granddaughter, Miriah.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 31, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Scott Cave officiating. Burial will be in Bates Hill Cemetery in Yankeetown, IN where military rites will be rendered.

Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 30, 2019 and from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Friday, May 31, 2019 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
