Robert "Bob" Ramon Hicks

Robert “Bob” Ramon Hicks, 63, of Evansville, IN passed away April 20, 2019. 

Bob was born April 19, 1956, in Indianapolis, IN to the late Booth and Unadell (Doshe) Hicks. He was a member of Salem Church in Darmstadt. Bob was a graduate of Washington High School where he was an All-State football player.  He continued his football career as an offensive lineman with University of Evansville where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He also obtained Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Education Degrees from University of Southern Indiana.

Bob started his teaching career at Harwood Middle School and moved to Central High School, where he retired in 2017. He taught English and served as Assistant Athletic Director as well as Assistant J.V. and Varsity Football Coach. Bob was a big Colts and Patriots fan and attended a lot of games with his son, Jonathon. Bob enjoyed spending time with his children, attending WWE matches with his son and watching the tv series, Bones and Grimm, with his daughter, Kaitlyn.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Susan (Daum) Hicks; daughter, Kaitlyn; son, Jonathon; brother, Gary Hicks (Jeanie); sisters, Cheryl Spurlin (Steve), and Donna Pope (Jack); mother-in-law, Louise Daum; sisters-in-law, Judy Hicks, Darlene Hicks and Barb Daum (Julie); brother-in-law, Jim Daum (Donna); and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John and Clark Hicks; and father-in-law, Harold Daum.  

Services and burial will be private.
