Roger Lee Roth

Roger Lee Roth, born October 24, 1935, to the late Leo & Alma (Sandler) Roth of Perryville, MO, passed away at his home in Evansville, IN, on February 14, 2018.

He was a 1953 graduate of P.H.S. Perryville, MO, and a 1957 graduate of Bailey School of Technology, St. Louis, MO. He was employed by Combustion Engineering/ABLummus Co. as lead mechanic and electrician 1954 – 1964 before employment by Alcoa as Journeyman electrician/Electrician specialist from 1964 until his retirement in March 1998.

Roger was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, The Coterie of Evansville, Caper Ballroom Dance Club of Peoria, IL, and Eagles #427. He and his wife, Arora Frances, were avid fans of ballroom dancing and traveled to dance events and ballrooms throughout the south and Midwest. He enjoyed wintering in Fort Meyers, FL, for many years, spectator sports, enjoying his granddaughters’ activities and accomplishments and his Eastland Mall walker friends.  

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Arora Frances; daughter Rita Wimpy (David) of Pembroke, KY; son, Russell of Evansville; granddaughters, Megan Parrent (Dr. Tanner) of Hopkinsville, KY; Dr. Cara Scott (Michael), of Frankfort, KY, and Hannah Roth of Ruskin, FL; great grandson, Luke Parrent, of Hopkinsville, KY, and sister, Wanda Hohman (Clint) of St. Louis.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Reverend Dr. Reverend Tom Wenig officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery, 1305 N. St. Joe Avenue, Evansville, IN.  47720

Friends may visit from 10 a.m. until time of Service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue.
