Rose E (Lawrence) Wheeler, 94, of Tell City, Indiana, formerly of Evansville, Ind., died at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2002, at Lincoln Hills Healthcare in Tell City, Ind.

Mrs. Wheeler was a 50-year member of Bethany Christian Church and a member of the Keenager Club.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Lois McEntarfer of Tell City, Ind., and Robert B. Gardner of Shelbyville, Ind.; a sister, Virginia Patterson of Plainfield, Ind.; four great-grandchildren, Kelly Aukema of Madison, Wis., Kimberly Pool of Evansville, Ind., and Ross and Brad McEntarfer, both of Tell City, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Wheeler, in 1963, and a daughter, Bettye Lou Gardner, in 1986.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., today, June 14, 2002, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel 5330 Washington Avenue, with Reverend Will Jewsbury officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
