Rosie M. (Ramsey) Goad

Rosie M. (Ramsey) Goad, born, July 27, 1939, age 79 passed away at home as she wished on Wednesday, June 12, 2019.

Rosie is preceded in death by her mother, Cora Bell Robinson; husband, Robert L. Goad, Sr.; son, Robert L. Goad, Jr.; and brother, Robert Ramsey.

Rosie is survived by her daughters, Teresa Goebel (Francis) and Brenda Henrich; sons, Glenn Goad, Sr. and Ricky Goad, Sr.; brother, Tim Robinson (Agaytha); 11 grandchildren, Dwayne, Brandi, Brian, Christy, Misty, Matthew, Jessica, Ryan, Glenn, Jr., Ricky, Jr. and Dominique; and 23 great grandchildren.

Rosie lived 15 years with her daughter, Brenda, whom Rosie could depend on daily. She was employed as a custodian with Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation where she retired after more than 35 years of service. After retirement, Rosie became the primary caregiver for her husband, mother and aunt for many years before their passings. Rosie loved spending time with her family and attending church where she was faithful in her walk with God.

The family would like to thank the staff of Home Instead, especially Laura Niswonger, who was Rosie’s daily caregiver, and Michelle Stocum, afternoon caregiver, as well as the staff of Kindred Hospice, including Kelly Poellein, Ann Jones, and Jennifer Zint.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 17, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Reverend Dennis King officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.  

Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, June 16, 2019 and from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 17, 2019 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
