Sharon Gail Embry, age 76, of Evansville, IN, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord surrounded by so many loved ones on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at 2:15 p.m., where she will be reunited with her daughter, Pamela Ann Embry.
Sharon was born April 23, 1941, in Evansville, IN, to the late Elfrieda and John Archer.
She married the love of a lifetime, Hilbert “Darryl” Embry, in 1957. Sharon was a wife and mother who was known for her widely honest and incredibly fun sense of humor. The couple settled in Evansville, IN, where they raised three daughters.
Sharon was the beloved wife of Darryl and mother to Ladonna Gail Boals, Anna Louise Meeler (Mark), and to the late Pamela Ann Embry. Sharon was a very loving and involved grandmother to 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Her love for her 8 siblings has always been immense. When they would get together throughout the years, their laughs and fun would amuse everyone around them.
Sharon was a Christian follower who was a member of Vann Avenue Baptist Church. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her over the last couple years.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Rob Baggett officiating. Entombment will be in Sunset Mausoleum.
Friends may visit from 2 p.m. until 7p.m., Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
