Shelly (Gray) Melton

Shelly (Gray) Melton, age 61, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 5:00 a.m. on Monday, June 4, 2018, at home.

Shelly was born November 19, 1956, in Long Beach, CA, to Russell Norman and Helynn “Greta” (Pirtle) Gray. She attended Bosse High School and went on to retire from Whirlpool Corporation. She was an outgoing person who never met a stranger. Shelly loved her kitty cat, Greta, as well as all other animals. She enjoyed music, rollerblading, and taking walks.

She is survived by her sister and caregiver, Connie Brown; sister, Kathy Medcalf; brother, Rusty Gray (Lori); and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; nephews, Aaron M. Gray and Mark A. Gibson.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 8, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time, Friday, June 8, 2018 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
