Stephen R. Elsfelder

Stephen R. Elsfelder, 66, moved to heaven on May 13, 2018 after a long battle with cancer.

Stephen was born on September 6, 1951 to the late William and Dollie (Hale) Elsfelder. He is the oldest brother to Janice, Barbara, Bob, Jean Ann, and Kenny.

He enjoyed target shooting and was a member of the NRA, Red Brush Gun Club, and Isaac Walton League. He was a big fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Indianapolis Colts and was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy (Douglas) Elsfelder; daughter, Traci Sullivan; grandchildren, Alyssa, Ryan, and Sarah; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Bob Elsfelder (Jamie) and Kenny Elsfelder (Teresa) and sisters. Mother-in-law, Mary Douglas, brothers-in-law, Norm Douglas (Brenda) and Randy Douglas (Brenda); sister-in-law, Becky Cassitty; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2018, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Deacon Steve Hankins officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery where the Vanderburgh County Memorial Veterans will perform military rites.

Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, May 20, 2018 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
