Stephen H. Moutoux

Stephen H. Moutoux, age 76, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Transcendent Healthcare in Boonville.

Stephen was born January 16, 1943, in Evansville, IN, to Andrew Charles and Flora Lee (Ghormley) Moutoux. He was a graduate of North High School in 1961 and Ohio State University with a degree in Welding. Stephen retired in 2002 after 30 years as a welding engineer. He was an industrial welder with both Martin Marietta and Lockheed Martin for Space Shuttle Construction.  He was also employed by Air Liquide who made gases for NASA. Stephen was of Catholic faith. He served his country in the United States Navy in Vietnam as a member of River Rats. Stephen was a member of VFW Post 1114.

Stephen is survived by his brother, Charles Moutoux of Seymour, IN and close friends, Carolyn Sue Stephan and Marilyn Jean Baehl (Albert), both of Boonville, IN.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 22 years, Shannon (Hunt) Moutoux who passed away in 2015; and sister, Patricia Williamson.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Deacon Tom Lambert officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, with military rites conducted by Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club.

Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until time of service, Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
