Thomas Stallings Obituary

Thomas S. Stallings, 77, of Evansville, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at his home of a heart attack. He retired in 1971 after 20 years with the Evansville Fire Dept. He was deputy chief for 8
years.

He was an Army veteran and life member to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1114 and American Legion.

He was a member of the Hen­derson Elks and attended Olivet Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Martha (Hazlett); three daughters, Dora woods and Pa­tricia Ritchie, both of Evansville, and Rita Bilbrey of Washington, Ind.; two sons, James of Michi­gan City, Mich., and David of Evansville; three sisters, Gertrude Morrow of Henderson, Ky., and Regina Farmer and Emma Baker, both of Evansville; a brother, Jim of California; sev­en grandchildren, James and Jennifer Ward, Joe and Nicole Woods and David, Candace and Deandra Stallings; a great­grandchild; and nieces and nephews.

His first wife, Virginia, died in 1965.

Services will be at 1 p.m. to­day at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. David Mills offi­ciating, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Olivet Presbyterian Church.
