Timothy "Tim" Reid Wilson

Timothy Reid “Tim” Wilson, age 69, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, at home.

Tim was born November 15, 1949, in Evansville, IN, to James Wilson and Carol (Ramsey) Perigo. He graduated from Bosse High School in 1967 and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from U of E in 1972. Tim was employed as a salesman with Barnes Distribution for 36 years.  He was known for his strong Christian faith, fishing skills and a ready joke – even to strangers. Tim was a substitute teacher for Warrick County.

Tim faithfully attended Abundant Life Church and Crossroads Church every weekend.  He was actively involved in the international student ministry at U of E.  He was a wonderful husband, father, stepfather, grandpa and faithful friend to so many. 

Tim is survived by his wife, Rita (Cooper) Coomer Wilson; daughters, Marlena Dixon (Mark) and Maria Riley (David); grandchildren, Andrew, Devin, Charity, and Lily Dixon, Andrew and Daniel Riley, Jacob, Connor and Elizabeth Freels, Clarissa Coomer, Marissa Nelson, Kailyn Kidd and Ethan Dixon; great granddaughter, Juniper Dixon; and stepchildren, Jeff Coomer and Tara Wunderlich.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gerry Wilson.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastors Troy Boulware and Rod Hoschouer officiating. Burial will be private.  

Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Saturday, December 8, 2018 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tim Wilson Family at any Old National Bank branch to help defray funeral expenses.
