Vera (Shevchenko) Averkina

Vera Averkina, age 67, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 9:53 a.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.

Vera was born January 21, 1952 in the Ukraine, to Peter and Anna (Gnilosir) Shevchenko. She worked at TJ Maxx Distribution Center and was a member of Grace of Christ Church.

Vera is survived by her sons, Sergei and Andrey (Anna) Averkin; brother, Nikolay; sister, Nataliya; and four grandchildren.

Vera is preceded in death by her husband Nikolay, and her parents; sister, Nadya and brother, Vladimir.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 4, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
