William R.Wedding, 72, of Newburgh, Ind., died at 6:17 a.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at St. Mary's Medical Center.
Mr. Wedding retired in 1991 after 45 years with Inland Container Cororation. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, a charter member of the Men’s Club and served on the church cemetery board for 25 years. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Wedding was a member of the Family Campers & RVers Club and was a Kentucky Colonel.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carol (Baumgart) Wedding of Newburgh, Ind.; a daughter, Michelle Wedding of Newburgh, Ind.; a son, Joe Wedding of Evansville, Ind.; a son and his wife, Gordon and Tina Wedding of Newburgh, Ind.; a brother, James Wedding of Evansville, Ind.; a granddaughter. Carmen Wedding of Newburgh, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 14,2002, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, 5330 Washington Avenue, continuing at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with Father Joseph Zili- ak officiating. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m., Thursday, June 13,2002, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, with a memorial service at 7:30 p.m.
