Alice Fay (Baldwin) Mayberry

Alice Fay (Baldwin) Mayberry, age 80, of Evansville, IN, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 13, 2023, at home.

Alice was born January 4, 1943, in Oak Park, IL, to Walter L. and Nettie (Bartkowski) Baldwin. She graduated from Elgin High School and attended Business College. Alice was a member of Gateway Baptist Church. She worked as a Homemaker while rearing her children, and she later worked as the Activities Director at Eldridge Nursing Home in Enfield, IL and as a Home Health Care Worker in Fairfield, IL. Alice enjoyed working in her flower garden, teaching small children in Sunday School, and collecting porcelain dolls. She especially loved her family and spending time with them.

Alice is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Charles E. Mayberry; daughter, Debra Mason of Genoa, IL; son, John Mayberry (Brigida Rodriguez De Mayberry); sister, Bonnie Texley of Neceda, WI; 4 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Nettie Baldwin; and infant son, David Wayne Mayberry.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Reverend Thomas J. Brown officiating. Burial will be in New Prospect Cemetery in Broughton, IL.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Sunday, October 15, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
