Alma Lorene (Dunn) Penticuff

Alma Lorene (Dunn) Penticuff, age 84, of Newburgh, IN went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at home with her family by her side.

Lorene was born April 8, 1939, in Muhlenberg County, KY, to Cecil and Anna Belle (Sutton) Dunn. She graduated from Castle High School. Lorene was an accomplished seamstress and realtor. She was a member of Vann Avenue Baptist Church for over 50 years. She worked in the church nursery for 13 years and had a big heart for people coming to Jesus. Lorene loved traveling to Florida and Gatlinburg, and she especially loved spending time with her family.  

Lorene is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, James Gordon Penticuff; daughter, Michelle Oxley (Dan); son, Chris Penticuff (Kathy); grandchildren, Micha (Jalen), Dylan, Rylie, Kenzie, Brody, Olivia, and Will; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lorene is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Anna Dunn; sisters, Pauline Maple, Donna Lile, and Joyce Rumple; and brothers, Melvin Dunn, Jewel Dunn, Calvin Dunn, and Glenn Dunn.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 13, 2023, at Vann Avenue Baptist Church at 2608 Vann Avenue, Evansville with Reverend Dr. Larry Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Friday, October 13, 2023, at Vann Avenue Baptist Church.
