Anna M. (Palmer) Cliburn, age 83, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024, at Transcendent Healthcare North – Boonville.
Anna was born March 20, 1941, in Evansville, IN, to Robert and Florence (Hensz) Palmer. She graduated from North High School in 1959 and was a long-time member of American Baptist East and currently attends Hopelight Community . She served as a Youth Group Leader and Sunday School Teacher at various churches across the country. She also worked as a Girl Scout Leader and PTA Treasurer while her daughters were young. Anna worked as a Paralegal for Gerling Law for 25 ½ years, for H&R Block for 9 years, and owned and operated her own tax preparation business, Exclusive Business Services, for 28 years before retiring. Anna received Woman of the Year award twice from the Warrick County Chapter of American Business Women’s Association, and she served as President, Vice President, and Treasurer for ABWA. She enjoyed traveling, scrapbooking, gambling, and game nights. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Anna is survived by her daughters, Yvonne Travelstead (Jimmy) of Boonville, IN, and Angela Adair (David) of Chandler, IN; brother, Kenneth Palmer of Newburgh, IN; grandchildren, Michael Hurley, Nicholas Hurley, Taylor Hayden, Elizabeth Adams, and Heather Bruce (Jacob); and great grandchildren, Morgan Hurley, Hannah Hurley, Maximus Hurley, Layne, Mya, Lyric, Kamdyn, Zoe, Rylie, Freya, Bessie, Nola, and Maddie.
Anna is preceded in death by her parents; Robert and Florence Palmer; and half-brother, Robert Palmer.
Services will be held at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN at 11 a.m., Monday, October 28, 2024, with Pastor Jerry Daniels officiating. Entombment will be at Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Friends may visit from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., Sunday, October 27, 2024, and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville, IN.
