Anna L. Yates, 72, of Evansville, died Saturday, May 13,2000, at her home of cancer.
She had worked at the Glenwood Middle School for 29 years as a cook.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for more than 40 years and a member of the Women’s Missionary Union. She enjoyed cooking and quilting.
Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Ann Ballard of Broomfield, Colo.; three sons, Steven of Evansville, James Larry of Newburgh and the Rev. Tony of Madisonville, Ky.; three sisters, Imogene Shutt of Evansville and Wanda Huffman and Rosa Nell Moses, both of Clemmons, N.C.; three brothers, William H. and Lyle Davidson, both of Evansville, and Donald Davidson of Huntingburg, Ind.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, the Rev. Robert Schneider officiating, with graveside serves at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Union Cemetery in Marion, Ky.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
