Barbara J. Brown

Barbara J. Brown, age 84, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away at on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Home.

Barbara was born April 25, 1938, in Evansville, Indiana, to Joseph Francis and Ann Louise (Gerkinsmeier) Moore. She graduated from Central High School in 1956. Barbara worked in administration for Skeels, an oil well production service, and Petroleum Information Corporation. She loved antiques, animals, the out of doors and traveling. One of her favorite pastimes was shopping at 2nd hand shops. She loved spending time with her family and friends.

Barbara lived life to it’s fullest. So, enjoy your day and you’ll be celebrating her spirit in every way.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Hartman (Tom); sons, Blaine D. Brown (Cindy) and Brian Brown (Natalie); sisters, Joanne Moss, Linda J. Allen, and Nancy Jo Edwards (Bob); grandchildren, Sam Rupprecht (Starr), Nathan Brown, Hanson Hostetler, Jordan Hostetler, Mitchell Brown, Kendall Brown, and Kelly Brown; and good friends, Barbara Cosgrove and Skip Frazer.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ann Louise Moore; former husband, Everett “Sonny” Brown; brothers-in-law, Carl Allen, Gene Moss, and Sam Bogan; niece, Cindy Moss; and sister, Sue Bogan.

Services will be private.
