Barbra Rogers

Barbra Rogers, age 51, of Troy, IN, passed away at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

Barbra was born December 25, 1970, in Seoul, Korea, to Calvin and Kim Rogers. Barbra moved around a lot growing up but spent her high school years in Evansville, IN where she went on to graduate from Central High School and went on to earn her B.A in Nursing from Ivy Tech. She also earned a B.A. in education from the University of Evansville and even spent time as a high school teacher early in her career. Barbra worked as an RN for over 30 years. She enjoyed traveling and incidentally did much of the former for work.  She was an avid bike rider and fitness enthusiast. She was most at home with her pets and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family. She dedicated her life to helping others and did so with a smile.

Barbra is survived by her husband, Thomas McAlpin Jr.; mother, Kim Rogers; son, Alex Yeakel; brother, Ted Rogers; Sister in-law, Sharita Rogers; nephew, Xavier Rogers; niece, Jazmine Rogers; grandson, River Maier.

Barbra is preceded in death by her father, Calvin Rogers..

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville. A Live Stream will be available beginning twenty minutes prior to the service time.
