Barnes W. Baugh age 91, of Newburgh, IN, passed away at 3:55 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at the Linda E. White Hospice House.
Barnes was born October 25, 1929 in Central City, KY, to Forrest Baugh and Nellie (Dukes) Morris. He graduated from Central High School in 1948. He was a computer programmer for International Steel for 37 years and retired in 1984. He was a discipleship director, taught Sunday school and was a member at Keck Avenue Baptist from 1950 until 1990. He was also a member at the Vann Avenue Baptist Church for 31 years. He enjoyed photography, traveling and woodworking in his spare time.
Barnes is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Marian L. (Thomas) Baugh; daughters, Donna (Randy) Sickbert of Dallas, GA; Sons, Larry (Mary Ann) Baugh of Bonita Springs, FL, Kenneth (Barbara) Baugh of Cincinnati, OH; sister, Delois (Ed) Marrotte of Melbourne, FL; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Barnes is preceded in death by his parents, Forrest Baugh and Nellie Morris; stepfather, John Morris; stepbrothers; Jim Morris, John R. Morris, Jr.; and granddaughter, Natalie Baugh.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 23, 2021, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Reverend Dr. Larry Lewis officiating.
