Belva "Lorene" (Popham) Lovan

Belva Lorene (Popham) Lovan, age 90, of Evansville, IN, passed away May 27, 2024, at Evansville Protestant Home.

Lorene was born January 31, 1934, in Battletown, KY, to Nathan and Belva (Crecelius) Popham. She graduated from Meade County High School in 1952. She retired from the Baby Shop and Stride Rite Shoes where she left a positive impact on all who knew her. She was a faithful member of Washington Avenue Baptist Church and then Creekside Baptist Church where she helped out in the nursery. The joy of her life was family– she loved investing in the lives of her grandkids and great grandkids and each has special memories of their Grammy because she made every visit special. She also had a passion for quilting and working puzzles.

Lorene is survived by her daughter, Barb Cash (Dennis); son, Steve Lovan (Denise); grandchildren, Aaron Cash (Jenny), Jenny Hurley (Matt), Emily Berlinger (Shawn), John Lovan, and Julianne Lovan; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Taylor, Peyton, Amelia, Addi, and Sadie; great great-grandchild, Arlo; and sisters, Marian Kidder and Margaret Bailey (Jack).

Lorene is preceded in death by her husband, Carl D. Lovan; parents, Nathan and Belva Popham; four sisters, and two brothers.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 30,2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Bro. Ed Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of service, Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
